The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
If I had to describe this book with just one word, it would be: Amazing.
This is not a fast read, nor is it laugh out loud funny, but it is simply amazing. It is definitely a page turner and I found myself hard pressed to put it down when my family started demanding clean clothes and food. I've read many books on the Holocaust but never any quite like this. Do not let the length or the subject dissuade you from reading it. I promise, you won't be let down!
