As a WLW, I hate it when a WLW book disappoints me.

I lowkey hate it that the author decided to introduce the Lucifer-Barista plot. Like I'm here for monster porn, not plot and world building. Have them fuck each other sensless and go. I don't care about the rest.

And this book had the most side plot and Naomi and Ella just pining in the backgroud. I missed the smut... there was smut, but not as much as in first four books, let's say. The book really lacked the heat.

Eventually, I got to like Naomia and Ella. They were sort of really cute. But it was definitely the worst one out of all the books in the series so far in my opinion.

Maybe author should have clarified that the taboo theme in this one is motherfucking twincest... that was really off putting. As a twin, I have to say this is where I draw the line lmao. Please leave incest in Alabama.

Gotta be honest for the most part I pretended they were really tight and close best buddies and I tried to ignore the fact Dalus and Icarus were twins. What also made this book bearable for me was the fact the almost did not interact with each other sexually, they kiss on the neck and lips once and that's it. They mostly just share Melody. I swear if there were fucking each other I would probably DNF or rate it one star.

But yeah, smut was amazing and it was written well like all other books. BUT WHY INCEST?! WHY?!

The dynamic between the characters was amazing. Smut was super hot! I only wish there was more smut, and not that much of a Lucifer-Barista subplot. I don't really care about it to be completely honest.

Oof! This one was really dark... but I LOVED IT SO MUCH! Not gonna lie this one made me question so many things about myself lmao.

I didn't like some things plot-wise which is why it's not a pure 5/5... but like I'm not here for the "plot" anyway, I'm here for the sexy monsters.

I wanna rate this 1 star just because of all the emotional damage that ending caused me. 😭 I knew that everything was too good to be true, but SJM really didn't have to do all that, man. 🙃

Anyway, I loved this book even more than the first one. This was plot twist after a plot twist with bunch of tea being spilled. The smut was to die for like *chef kiss* absolutely loved it.

I loved everything about this book. It was action packed. It was romance packed. The story kept on giving and giving. Each POV has so much potential for future books and I honestly can't wait to see more. I've never been as excited for a sequel as I am for Crescent City no.3

This book, also, made me fall in love more with all these characters. Their banter was hilarious. The found family vibes were real! There was so much love, platonic and romantic, in this book that I AM LEFT ABSOLUTELY HEARTBROKEN!!!! If I did not have a fresh spetum piercing in my nose I would let myself cry my fucking heart out. But alas, I have a fresh septum and I did not feel like having all that snot in my nose that I would have to blow out. Like... sorry... this is the shittiest fucking review ever. This is not even a review. Just me not even knowing what to say because this book was so fucking good I am left speecless. It literally fucked my brains out, okay?

Hunt and Bryce were so fucking sexy and adorable. So many feels. Ruhn and Agent Daybright.. gods! Just Ruhn! Fucking hell. I've never been thirsty for a man like I'm thirsty for this piece of shit. Tharion... I didn't like you in the first book but boy I'm drooling all over myself. Flynn and those lil fire sprites as his personal cheerleaders? Adorable. Content I signed up for. Declan and Marc? Adorable. Love me some gays. Fury and June? Adorable. Love me some lesbians. Cormac, baby, I hated you but he's hot so I forgave him being a dick at first. Ithan, boy, you're too cute and too hot for my own good. I don't think I've ever been this thirsy for characters. Like BDB and ACOTAR were the last time I was drooling this much. 

I was used and abused by this book and I'd willingly let it do it again. I'd beg for it. And I would say thank you after.

When I read the blurb, Iwas like oh a monogamous heterosexual romance... how boring. BITCH IT WAS NOT!

Huge yes for dominant bisexual women and submissive bisexual men that are down for pegging! Oh my god! This book was such a fucking treat! Ugh! Loved every page! Rum is my absolute favorite monster so far. And I'm super gay for Penny. Fuck. This book is pure bi panic.

Probably one of my favorite J.R. Ward has ever written!

The story was action packed! Like the plot was actually so good... yes, it was full of Nyx pining over The Jackal and him pining over her... obviously, because it's romance. But Nyx going in there to find her sister, finding Jackal and his friends and then them against the Prison. Ughhhh, it was so good. I wasn't able to put the book down!

I loved Nyx, btw! She's so far my favorite BDB female! She's totally badass and looks sexy doing it. This book said fuck you to the Prince saving his Princess and gave you the Princess saving her Prince trope AND I AM LIVING FOR IT!!!!!!

Also, the side characters were absolute treat! Mayhem, Kane, Lucan and Apex... boy, can't decide which one I love more. Maybe Mayhem because he's fucking hilarious.

I highly recommend this book. It's connected to the BDB series but I think you could easily read it without reading the OG series. Of course, there will be some spoilers for the OG series.

Well this was certainly yummy. 🤤🥵 And probably even more sick and twisted because in this one were following two dragon shifters Dracon and Dell, and their human Kat. Obviously, they share the human. Body and soul. I thought this was going to be one of those men sharing a woman romances, but no no nooo... Dracon and Dell go at it too! The smut was *chef kiss*... if you like monster porn that is lmao.

This was a very quick and super hot read. Huge recommendation to smut lovers that don't mind tails, horns, dragon wings and teeth.
