This is a cute book. It had some potential with the text, but falls flat for me in the execution of font, spacing and illustration. This could be a fun lapsit, but not for storytime IMHO

For fans of Bluey. This picture book shows a great time between a parent and child. There is a lot to talk about and a TON of new vocabulary words. I was excited to see that I did not know many of the ones listed in the glossary.

I loved the parental figures in this book. I disliked that there was a clear opportunity for a therapy moment in the novel and that the author chose to not mention it at all. Normalizing therapy is important. I am happy that the discussion of gender and neurodiversity is in the novel, but it was not as strong as it could have been to support readers looking for affirmation or for a sliding glass door experience.
