Dirty Laundry: Why Adults with ADHD Are So Ashamed and What We Can Do to Help by Richard Pink, Roxanne Emery
5.0
A great insight into the mind of those who have ADHD's and the people who love them.
Heartfelt anecdotes and well thought out responses filled with compassion, and emotional intelligence.
Truly helpful for both those who have ADHD, and for those who want to better understand their neurodivergent loved one.

Whilst the writing style was not for me, I can appreciate that this will be a story that those who truly adore factually correct historical fiction, will love.
Lengthy and slightly dry at times, it does have an interesting magic system, but whilst it is an ingredient of the story, it is merely a hint. More for those who want historical fiction, not for those looking for magical realism within a historical background.

The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by S.A. Chakraborty

Beautifully written, adventurous, amusing and heartfelt.
I really enjoyed this swashbuckling tale, however it is heavily interwoven with religion, which if that is something you do not resonate with, may take you out of the story at some points. The characters are connected by faith, all be it, differing ones, and this is the basis for a lot of the interactions that are held.
It is refreshing to read a story that has an older heroine, who is conscious that she has changed since her younger years, but that remains at her essence - a force to be reckoned with.
I look forward to more journey's with Amina al-Sirafi!

4/4.5 stars.
I enjoyed this adaptation of the Grimm fairytales, I was however hoping that there would be more installments as the story didn't quite finish and there was so much more the characters could have given.
If you enjoy Mangas with sweet natured, albeit silly, main characters - then this is for you.

I received an eARC through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Dark and twisting, coupled with captivating illustrations, this is a fantasy that will grip readers from start to finish.
An interesting group of characters, that you really want to learn more about, and a mysterious plot that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
If you are wary of a little gore, this may not be for you.
