This is just so good. The best story is What Has Passed Shall in Kinder Light Appear by Baoshu, but they’re really all great in their own way. I’m excited to own this book forever and return to it all the time!

This is a pretty thoughtful meditation on individual responsibility, ethics and power. I really enjoyed the story itself, and the sense of place, but found the writing a little clunky at times. If it was more descriptive and the world-building was a little tighter and more consistent, this could have been a new fav.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting; while a few of the mini meta stories were dull, there were enough really compelling ones to counterbalance them. I found it easy to follow and compelling.
