What a horrifically ableist book, maybe the worst I’ve ever read. Out of 4 disabled characters, only one is treated humanely. The MC dreams multiple times of his Autistic child dying. I’m honestly appalled that I finished this…it didn’t seem worse than most things we put up with until the end. I wanted to read a book about Oman but wish it wasn’t this one

This is an amazing book, beautifully written. Only stopping because I’m having an awful time keeping everyone straight & it’s a LONG one. Gotta be gentle to yourself when you have brain fog & memory issues💗
