I did cry a little!!

I didn’t think anything of this when it was recommended to me by my cheating romance Facebook group. But I just decided to read it because it seemed from the spoilers like it was gonna be a quick read. I was wrong.

It definitely for me was emotional. I felt for this book. I like how both of the characters were kind of doormats to their situation and they finally backbones and kicked it in gear.

Yes, the hero was definitely a coward throughout most of this book, but it slowly starts getting chipped away as things keep happening that he does not want in his life. It was very nice to see that whole period happen.

The heroine on the other hand, was so used to just running away from her problems and not talking them out. I’m just so glad that we got to see her gather her spirit and acknowledge that may be running away from problems isn’t the best thing to do.

Definitely like it, if more of the author’s books are like this then I’m definitely gonna read them.

Too Short

I kind of wish this was more complex and not as short as it was, but for what we get it’s a great story.

Man, do I wish this book was a little bit more longer with a little bit more conflict but this is still good for a novella.

This was really good for how short it is.

Though I do wish we had more stepsisters problems resolved. I don’t think we’re going to get that many updates about what is happening in that realm but I am glad that someone was there to protect Roxy and also understand that sometimes you just need to be the bigger person when it comes to more than one person!

This was a struggle read for me. Maybe it’s because the buildup to the getting caught was so fast and the move on was also so fast that after everything happened and those almost 20 pages I was bored of them getting together again.

So I kind of wish we had the buildup of them throughout the five months before we had the caught in the act.

Because I will tell you that after 100 pages, I really didn’t want to read this anymore, but I really needed to finish because this was such a short book.

So I had been waiting for this book to come out ever since I read the ending of the first.

Maybe being a mood reader does have the challenges so when I started reading this book after maybe a month or two of it being out, I did get back into it, but felt slightly enthused.

Although I did find the overall story for both books to be good, I just felt slightly disappointed in my feelings about this book

I think it took me three months to actually finish this and I am happy that I did finish it. I’m just not happy that I couldn’t give it a four star or five.

And I think it has to do with the evil plans of the father and how they reacted to it. It just felt very Austin Powers, but serious. So it took me out of the enjoyment..

I recommend this book, yes! I recommend the duets because I think that these characters deserve to be known and I do love them!
