Loved this! Exactly the kind of queer romance novel I’m looking for in a quick, lighthearted read. The kind of book that you linger over the last 50 pages because you don’t want the story to end and the characters will live in your head long after you close the pages. From tackling homophobia in the workplace (from those you don’t expect it from), to internalized issues, and self acceptance: this is a deep yet fun read. Everything I was hoping for. It’s very predictable but in a pleasant way, like a warm cup of your favorite tea, tasting just as you hoped.

A delightful read that takes you seamlessly between time, places, and people. Reading and understanding transitions was seamless and it was excellent. You come to love (and despise) many of the characters quickly.

Forbidden love, mean girls in designer dresses, nice girls in even more expensive dresses, family clashes, lots of glittery jewels, a wedding, love, lust, betrayal… it has it all!

It was fast paced and quick witted.

I have not seen the movie so I cannot remark on how that adaption relates to the book.
