I cannot stand these characters or the plot. I wasn’t sold on the premise of this book but I thought “maybe I’ll really feel them fall in love in 24 hours” and I just couldn’t get through this. I didn’t like CF’a first book much but I’d rather read that any day.

This was so beautifully written and I am so happy I listened to this to hear Dean Atta say their words how they wanted them said. It was a wonderful, uplifting story from a voice that is not heard enough. I want more from Dean Atta.

I honestly can’t ask for anything more form a second chance romance that involves Broadway, pop music, and alternating timelines. Plus there’s a cat. I’m just all around here for it. It was funny, heartbreaking, and sometimes infuriating lol
I loved Kathleen as a character. She was done so well. She felt so real. Cal is kind and cute but nothing I was in love with. But together they’re lovely.
I love Elissa’s way of telling stories and how she takes a really interesting and fun idea for a romance and puts it into a story. I love how she tells stories.

I actually really enjoyed the ending to this series. This is the first time in a while where I feel the entire series was overall pretty good. I feel satisfied with how things ended and I look forward to the spinoff coming out this Fall.

This was predictable and not in the OMG I love what’s happening kind of way. I was hoping for more with the writing back and forth between the two. I also could not stand her sister. Every time she appeared, I was just mad.

I really thought this would be a pretty stereotypical romance but I was so surprised at how much of this book really looked at grief, knowing your worth, and finding yourself. I was pleasantly surprised and this book brought me joy (and made me cry sometimes).

This is some of the best art I’ve seen in a graphic novel. However. The story is so lackluster that it’s sort of depressing. There’s no world building and the characters are mediocre.
The best parts are the familiars and that there are sapphic characters.

This was…. Interesting. And very different from any CL novels I’ve read. It was a fun story that kept me intrigued and was a fun little mystery type romance. Not what I expect from CL but I’m not disappointed either.

This was a fun read but also kind of sad? I love the concept of following a villain and their sidekick. I think the characters were done well, the story didn’t move too fast, I had a good time and I was surprised by the end.
