I loved seeing the emotional turmoil Rose goes through by suspecting her husband, hating him and wanting this new version of him. She's constantly conflicted by knowing their past, seeing his suspicious behaviour, but liking his passionate personality.
I enjoyed seeing Levi's history unfold and the way he adapts to his new life.
His dark secrets and night activities were both heroic and deranged.
Overall despite the dark themes it's a lovely story that unfolds, and a pairing of souls.

This is the second book in the fated souls series and follows Ava's best friend Kayleigh who is a university student, and the beta of the pack - Kayden.
Kayleigh is completely unaware of the paranormal world or that her best friend and everyone around them are secretly shifters, all she knows is she is there to support her best friends pregnancy, and she needs to avoid Kayden the handsome guy she's hopelessly drawn too but keeps embarrassing herself infront of. Meanwhile Kayden is confused why he can hear Kayleigh's thoughts even though she isn't his mate or a wolf, but he is also drawn to her, protective, and can't help but flirt, tease and please her.
The story is filled with a steamy slow burn romance, flirty banter, a sweet and healing partnership, and some paranormal surprises. It's also a journey of self healing, patience, acceptance and regaining confidence.
Kayleigh's ex is a walking red flag, there's pack drama which causes emotional turmoil, its light on the worldbuilding and instead focusses on the romantic journey, the passion, and their internal struggles, and it has a hea.

🐺 "I'd do anything to see you smile"
🐺 "You deserve to be appreciated and cared for and everything else in between. Never settle for less - you are worth so much more"
🐺 "I want the struggles. I want the pain. I want all of it, as long as it means I get to have you"
🐺 "I can't fucking breathe without you"

This is a great sci-fi novella, packed with action, scheming, conflict, and twists. I loved the idea of a species Aggression index and how humans were underestimated. It's a thought provoking read that touches on humanities need for conflict, but having matured enough to be a peaceful species lying dormant in the background until a galactic threat emerges. I enjoyed the touches of humour and the range of characters.
For a short book a lot happens but it's well paced, explores multiple POV, and contemplates themes of morality, genocide, alien invasion, political uprising, and alliances.
Would definitely recommend.

This was a charming Roman adventure, with a pair of friends travelling across the world together attempting to translate ancient texts and contemplate astronomy, science and legends to uncover an ancient mystery of the stars.
On their adventures they come under attack, distract enemies with creative inventions, make new allies, meet royalty, and grow closer together.
It's a delightful historical adventure with a touch of political drama, action, mystery and a building romance, and takes you back in time to experience their immersive journey.
Hero and Lucia are characters you can't help but root for, and I enjoyed the cultural education aspects and the attention to detail.

A cute little snowed in romance novella, with second chance love, forced proximity bonding and some steamy chemistry. I liked the tension as they're stuck together, but how they slowly fall for each other and get their hea.
