I haven't felt this way about a book since I read The Troop by Nick Cutter. This book has been on my TBR for years, and i finally tuned in. And thank God I did. A phenomenal story, incredibly mind blowing and had me on the edge of my seat. I finished it in 2 days. While there is homophobia, it's one of the main character's flaws, and they make a deal of it.
I thought that the ending would relate to the screenplay, but I was shocked at the end with the baby name.

palahniuk, as always, writes a completely unpredictable story that both disgusts and intrigues . he starts off strong with a horrendous scene, and ultimately ends it with an ending that may be heartwarming

i didnt like this book as much as i thought i would . i loved the troop, but this was way too slow paced, everything seemed completely unrelated, tons of flashbacks, and i overall just couldnt get into it and enjoy it

this book is indescribable. i got this book because i asked the employee for a really nasty, gross, violent horror book. He didnt disappoint. you almost know what is going to happen, but it shocks you regardless. I love how it is simultaneously descriptive in the acts, without being too overbearing in regards to violence towards women. it is somehow one of the saddest stories you would read about an outcast, but you shouldnt feel bad. Not really
