Really great horror story, more like a spiritual or demonic attachment that had my skin crawling. The story was really unsettling and I had a sinking feeling throughout the whole book that I knew what would happen… and in a sense I did not expect everything, not entirely at least. All I can really say is if you are looking for a great horror novel, you need to read this one!

Let me start off by saying that I really enjoyed this book and plowed through it pretty quickly! The character development was really good as well as the tension. There were plenty of points in which I was bouncing between different theories on what was going on (my more serious theory was correct!).
All of that being said, I HATED the main character, she was an insufferable, whiny mess — but I think that was the intention. I mean our narrator, our main character is falling for a suspected serial killer on trial for the murder of three women, no judgement — okay lots of judgement— we tend to think of “those women” that correspond with jailed criminals that did horrible things as crazy and this women was definitely that.
So if I had to sum up my feelings on this book in one sentence I would say:
“I really freaking loved this book, but I was rooting for the main character to get offed by the serial killer”
