Great mix of ACOTAR + Threads That Bind + The Fall of the House of Usher. So good. Was on the edge of my seat. Unique magic system. Definitely a must read.

Gripping, excited, romantic. Loved this twist on the old Hades x Persephone story. Story felt a bit overly fluffed / padded at times, but overall, it was a great read.

I was so excited about this book. However, it is so overly wordy and fluffed with so many literary devices that the finish product sounds stuffy, pretentious, and overall hard to follow along. The plot drowned under the weight of everything else.

A revolutionary new sci-fi novel that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The characters and world building are so good. Highly recommend. This book is great for fans of the sci-fi series Illuminae Files and the fantasy series An Ember in the Ashes.

Witty and funny. Brings humor to a dark and macabre topic like death. Loved the mystery.

It was 🌽 with a plot, which might be some people's cup of tea. I don't mind spice at all, but I felt like the plot took a back seat to the 🌢πŸ”₯ and suffered for it. The characters felt one dimensional and flat. The dialogue was lacking. The love "triangle" (quadrangle?) felt forced at times with no real reason for some of the characters to be falling for one another. I'm sure a lot of people enjoyed this, but it was not for me.

3.5 stars - Like a train accident, so horrifically graphic, gory, and terrifying, you can not look away. Bit of handmaidens tale + the Hunt/the Ritual movies.  Very chilling.

Was really hard to get through. Inconsistent magic system. MC changed her entire mission at the drop of a hat.

Hunger Games + Percy Jackson...but make in New Adult πŸ˜‰πŸŒΆ. I devored this book. It was so good. The action during the Crucible Labors, the tense romance, and the heartbreak...ugh so goooooddddd!!!!
