An amazing *fae* spin on the classic Cinderella story. It was immersive, flirty, and captivating. The banter was top tier. A true romastasy.

An enthralling spin on the tale of Midas and his touch of gold. Slow pace. Read TW/CW. Not much really occurs in this book. I'm hoping more plot happens in book 2.

The premise of this Sleepy Beauty retelling was compelling and interesting but had not nearly enough time to develop. It felt very rushed and left no time to explain things that could have used some exposition. It would have really enhanced the overall world building.

A new and inventive spin on the Cinderella tale. Met By Midnight has an interesting magic system of folks that heal others calling "receiving / receivers" that can take away pain/illness. It made me think a lot of the novel The Giver and "Receiving" in that novel. The book here accomplished a lot in a short number of pages, but I feel like almost *too* much was trying to be squeezed in.

The writing felt okay. I struggled to enjoy the story because it felt so stretched and had plot holes. The premise seems great, and it started out interesting.

A heartbreaking story about two sisters' lives, rise to fame, and the elusive events that shattered it all to pieces. This story shows how each character deals with their emotions, trauma, and past. How they carry it, avoid it, or how sometimes...the show must go on.

The Stars are Dying... as well as my attention span throughout this book at times. It has the bones of a great plot but drawls on and on at various places. Just when I would think "ok let's DNR," another carrot on a stick would nudge me to read another chapter. Overall, I'm glad I stuck with it. The story was decent but hits lulls at times. Characters were well written. I'll read book 2.

Decent mystery/murder plotline, but the characters' 'voices' all felt very similar.

School after you kick the bucket? That literally is the definition of purgatory in this new twist on dark academia. Steeped with blood, magic, betrayal, and dark corridors of secrets...this book was a wild ride from cover to cover.

3.5 stars: An immersive tale of rich world building and political intrigue. The characters were so deep and full of emotion. Written in dual POV. Creative magic system. Loved the winged serpents!
