YALL I LOVED IT 🥹 this was genuinely everything i had hoped for and more!!!

there's so much expansion on the world building and lore of the continents, so many answered theories, the banter was top notch, as was the romance. but for every resolved question, there’s now a million more, leaving me even more invested. i'm so excited to reread this when the graphic audio comes out. 100/10 recommend. no notes.

 SPOILERS AHEAD!!! some more thoughts:

• ok they're MARRIED?! and imogen erased violet's memory?! they have to have some sort of plan. this is WILD. OFF THE PAGE TOO?
• some of my favourite plot guesses to be confirmed were xaden getting his title back, halden being violet's ex and xaden's mom being in the isle kingdoms with a new family. 
• another theory... reading intentions is NOT xaden's second signet! there were so many moments where he read people's actual thoughts, not just intentions. even violet pointed it out multiple times, like, “that's not how your signet works…”
• asher sorrengail was into some deep stuff - he was definitely not just an “ordinary” scribe.
• RIP quinn, we commend your soul to malek 😭 
• garrick is a distance wielder! he's been flying under the radar with his second signet, and i NEED more info on that. also imogen and garrick TOGETHER NOW!!!
• what's up with aaric? he's full of surprises & i'm very intrigued by him.
• i did not expect violet's tie to dunne, but what exactly does that mean?
• did tairn and sgaeyl really break the mating bond?
• WHO TURNED VENIN (was it bodhi 😭). i went back & forth like “who turned?” & i feel like we're still missing a big name sage or maven.
• xaden was so lover boy coded this book and i was loving every second of it 🥹🤭 i think he might have been at his best this book because he was both at his most vulnerable but also his harshest due to his internal battle. was he plotting & scheming to basically disappear from our lives & become worse? sure. was he also loving the shit out of violet? yeah. & the fact that he called her “love”… i melted every single damn time!!
• when lynx manifested shadows, that's when i felt it - nature likes balance!
• i was somehow convinced they would find a cure so i have no idea where the next book will go from here, but xaden clearly has some kind of plan so we'll see if it works out eventually. 

bumping this to 4.5 stars the second time around. i felt much more connected to each character this time and just thoroughly enjoyed all the little details that have gone over my head before. the graphic audio is absolutely the way to go for these from now on!!

did i enjoy it? yes. ⁠
was it better than fourth wing? no. ⁠

because why are we arguing for the entirety of the book?? violet and xaden's ongoing trust issues and miscommunication are dragged out way too long for no good reason.

we get it. 
the real hero of this story is tairn, for remaining the growly voice of reason during uncertain times!

& the ending? still as gut wrenching as ever. so bring on onyx storm! 🫡 

REREAD BEFORE ONYX STORM AND ITS JUST AS GOOD THE SECOND TIME!!!! god reading this knowing everything we know at the end of iron flame made me realize just how much i MISSED!!! solidified that i’m a vibes reader to my core & fourth wing is entertainment of the purest kind.

i also read this via graphic audio & WOWWWWW. can’t recommend that format enough!

holy smokes! what a fantastic way to end this trilogy!

xander and teddy deserved their hard earned HEA and everything that comes with it. the way that this man is OBSESSED with her. and he has been for years! he is so sweet with her kids and just showing up for her in any way he can help. & the fact that he called her “mama”… i melted every single damn time!! they're truly a match made in heaven. 🥹🥹🫶🏼

y'all i LOVED every book in this series. the emotion, the tension, the angst, the spice, the brotherhood… this entire trilogy is absolutely incredible!!

10/10 a million stars for rowan and violette!!! this book will have you feeling alllll the feels. 

it was absolutely everything i could ever need in a second chance romance. the “then & now” timeline, the brother's best friend and it's always been you 🥹🥹 ugh, the way i swooned! 

this was such a beautiful story of two people finding their way back to each other. & i loved how rowan kept showing up for violette and hollie 👏🏼👏🏼 i'm a goner! this man is PERFECTION!

omgoshhh guys, this book was so freaking good! THE COVER!!?? sold. 

i was completely hooked just from the prologue. callahan & scottie 🥹🥹 i loved that they both had real stories with real trauma so they needed to heal. their struggles are so relatable. the miscommunication trope typically isn’t my thing, but it really added to the angst this time. & that forced proximity didn't hurt either 🫣

cal, the man that you are 😮‍💨 the mouth on this man, y’all. that ambulance scene had me blushing HARD. oh, and the “still with me?” 🫠 i'll love it forever! 

i feel like i can say this is a book unlike any other i have read before & i am so dang excited for the rest of this series.

this isn't a perfect series but it's quite literally everything you could want in a romantasy!! arwen and kane are perfect together and you can’t change my mind. they have been through SO MUCH together and this conclusion was perfect for them.

i just wish we got more of whatever was slowly developing between griffin and mari and i was so disappointed that they didn't receive slightly more attention. fingers crossed for a spinoff book for the two!! 

this book right here is why best friends to lovers is forever a god tier trope. THE YEARNING? wyatt “i know you can, but i'm going to do it for you” rivers 🫠🥹 he's everything

cash rivers!!! coming off so rude and gruff, only for him to turn around and be the sweetest, kindest, most caring and giving person on that ranch. i just love a man that can communicate and is in touch with his emotions.
ngl i didn't like mollie to begin with, but i soon warmed up to her as i began to understand her in seeing how she struggled with regret when it came to her grief.

YOU’RE JOKINGGGG!! THAT ENDING?!!! i NEVER could’ve predicted that plot twist!!! this had all the banter and so much tension, i was so emotionally invested. this series has amazing potential! 

please go add this to your tbr 🙏🏼
