I found this book far more boring than the first two. The pace was quite slow, and it felt like nothing happened for most of the book. I wasn't a fan of how cold and difficult Celaena was at the beginning. So many new characters were introduced! Manon and Abraxos were great! Everyone seems to love Rowan, but I honestly couldn’t stand him! I still love Chaol and Dorian! Things really picked up at the end, so I have hope for the next book!

I tried to go into this with an open mind without any expectations, and honestly, the first half of the book wasn't great. The writing was simplistic and repetitive, with very little plot or depth to the story. It did get better once the disaster happened but the romance, which took up most of the book, was extremely cliché.

This is a must read for sci-fi fans! It was very science heavy but the evolution of the spider society was fascinating! Overall, it was really unique and compelling story!

The world-building was great but I struggled to stay interested because there wasn't much happening plot-wise. I'm not a fan of books that involve lots of travelling. Also, I found the characters unlikeable and had a hard time connecting with them.

I only read a couple of chapters of this. It felt very lacklustre, and I didn't like the main character at all!

I can't stand the writing style! It's so overly written I'm having a hard time understanding anything. We're thrown right into the action with zero explanations! And even when things were explained it was still confusing! There's weird terms like aetherspace, lightweave and shadowforged and I have no idea what they're talking about. It's very frustrating!

Wow, this book really had it all! It's an 1800s historical rom-com with a crime twist. Although, I was confused at first because there were so many characters once we got acquainted with everyone it was great! The banter was fun, the mystery was intriguing and I loved the romance!

This is the first book I've read by Robin Hobb, and I'm happy to report that I loved it! It was beautifully written, and the politics, world-building, and magic system were fascinating! I'm looking forward to reading more!
