The Secret Agent by Joseph Conrad
3.0
A good read, dealing with themes of terrorism, anarchy and exploitation; this is not your typical spy novel if you are used to the more recent releases for this genre.
This novel deals unravels the mystery of who was behind the mysterious bombing at the embassy, and the effect it has on Secret Agent Verlock's life and his family.
I've read several books much shorter conclusions than this one and I was much more satisfied by those. A good novel, but not the best I've ever read.

The Food of the Gods by H.G. Wells
4.0
Not H.G. Well's best as he doesn't write in a linear style, but he does bring up some themes like racism, humanity's resistance to change and how even institutions must evolve in face of those changes.
The Lost Continent by Edgar Rice Burroughs
4.0
What happens if, after centuries of being cut off from the rest of the world due to war, a crew of men go to see what lies beyond the 30th Longitude? This is a book that tells of the devastation of war, the endurance of man, and the silliness of adhering to age old traditions that have no place in society no longer.
Outlaw by Ted Dekker
5.0
A beautiful story about how even in the darkest places on earth, God is still there with a perfect love making us whole.
