What sucks is that Xiran is capable of writing a witty and compelling story. Iron widow wasn’t perfect but it was a start and there are small glimpses through this book of that but she is so hell bent on preaching about real world issues it gets buried and you end up reading 500+ pages of a twitter rant on laborism and capitalism. Like truly this wasn’t a story. Nothing happens. Nothing was shocking or even interesting about this. I’m so incredibly disappointed.
