compared to the previous book this is just a regular MB romp

head in my hands.

i think this is a book that is 3.75 in hindsight, not because it's not a good book but because the sequel to it is literally harrow the ninth. it's just a goliath effect for me i'm so sorry. but in another world this is 4.5 stars

sincerely believe this is tamsyn muir's magnum opus. even moreso than her homestuck fanfiction

i think for how much it lives in my mind it's a 3.5 but it's not that it's not well-executed or anything. it's perfectly well-executed.
