A very sweet story. Kate Dicamillo is one of my favorite children's authors. She tells great tales with likeable characters.

VERY QUICK READ ABOUT A MOTHER'S LOSS OF HER SON. I FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO CONNECT TO THE AUTHOR. SOMEHOW I FELT THE STORY SHOULD REFLECT MORE OF HER SON RATHER THAN HERSELF. DON'T KNOW SHOULD HAVE FELT MORE BUT I DIDN'T.

MY SON AND I DISCOVERD THIS BOOK AT THE LIBRARY YESTERDAY AND HAD A FEW LAUGHS. AND ALTHOUGH BERTIE MAY DO SOME UNCOUTH THINGS THERE IS A RING OF TRUTH TO HIS STORY IF YOU LIVE WITH A 4 YEAR OLD BOY.

This was a quick light read. Wouldn't be nice to sometimes escape and try to recreate oneself in the eyes of others? This would be a great vacation read...

As a parent I can't imagine watching your child sink into drug addiction. Honest, poignant-- an educational memoir.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this piece of historical fiction. I found myself getting angy with Frank Lloyd Wright and his personality--but every genius has flaws...
I finished reading the book wanting to learn more about him and this relationship. I am going to the library this week to see if I can find more.

Brought this book on our trip to Brimfield. Needed a light easy read which it was. It had some funny parts and I was sympathetic to the character.

Very very good. Almost 5 stars but the ending had me wishing for something.
