Jacob Maddox the man that you are. Everything he did for Briana was as easy to him as breathing. He even took her FREAKING LAST NAME. Not only that the man literally GAVE AWAY HIS ORGANS FOR HER. And he expected nothing in return. He even wanted it to be anonymous because seeing her happy from afar was enough for him 🥰🥰🥰. I was hesitant to going into a book with the MMC was a doctor because male characters who are doctors tend to be toxic (ex: it ends with us and part of your world) but Jacob was purely good and stole my heart from the beginning. Turns out ER Doctors in books are good, Surgeons are bad. (Warning I can’t guarantee this irl). Briana was also an astonishing woman just by being herself. The strength that she had was inspiring. She had so much shit going on and she managed to push through . It was so enduring when she also understood Jacob’s needs and she went above and beyond for him too. In the end they were the book version of “Barbie has a good day everyday and Ken only has a good day when Barbie looks at him. Not really but if you know you know.
