Little Mercies by Heather Gudenkauf
3.0
I love Heather Gudenkauf and her writing style with the multiple points of view.
This was a gripping book but not as intense as her others. Yes, I wanted to know what was going to happen next, but this one was different from the others. It may have been the subject matter. A very difficult subject to write about, though it was done very well, and I could see how the accident happened. It made me wonder if I could do that. Really, it could happen to anyone in that one moment.

Beach Town by Mary Kay Andrews

Another enjoyable book by Mark Kay Andrews!!! And while I was listening to the audiobook, the author came out with a prequel novella. I will be reading it! It is already on my kindle.
Change of Scene by Mary Kay Andrews

I enjoyed Beach Town and as I was finishing it, I found ouy about this prequel Change of Scene. I really enjoyed it, learning more about Greer and what happened in her life before Beach Town. I recommend it!

Another good one by MKA. Ty never grew on me. He just seemed like a complete horny/creepy guy the whole time. I didn't see what Ellis saw in him. (Other than him apparently being hot). I listened to the audio book, so maybe it was the way the narrator portrayed him. Other than Ty, I really enjoyed it!
Missing Pieces by Heather Gudenkauf
5.0
Missing Pieces is Heather Gudenkauf's newest book. It is different from her others- it does not have the multiple points of view that I have grown accustomed to in her writings. It took me a little while to get used to that. Once I did, I was fine with reading it.
I enjoy the thriller/murder mystery type book. And I enjoyed Missing Pieces. I had it narrowed down to two possible characters were for the killer. (Though I wasn't sure why they were the killer) And I was wrong!!! Now knowing who the killer is I want to read it again, to see if I will see things differently as I read it!
I look forward to the future books Heather Gudenkauf writes!!

A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy by Sue Klebold
4.0
Wow. What a heart breaking and at times hard to read book. But I made it through it. Sue Klebold gives her story of that fateful day at Columbine High School. You can feel her anguish and sadness at first losing her son to suicide and coming to the realization of what Dylan did.
You can see the whole "hindsight is 20/20" realizations she has afterwards. And you can see how much it hurts.
The book also deals a lot with raising awareness on suicide and mental health, which she calls brain health and brain illness, with good reasons.
A very good, yet hard to read book.

This was not MKA's best work. It was ok, cute. I just didn't see how the main characters fell for each other. I did not see the chemistry between them. I enjoy shows like Master Chef, so I enjoyed the Food Fight part.
