I did not expect to like this as much as I did. I loved Ariadne, but had low hopes that Hera would compare. And I was right in that it was a very different story than what I expected, but I liked it nonetheless.

And I loved seeing Zeus actually get what was coming for him

The constant use of “male” and “female” is a bit weird, right?

I liked The Wishing Game, but I liked The Lost Story even more. Shaffer has such a homey touch to her writing that really fits right in with her fairy tale writing.

Loved the little reference to The Wishing Game.

I loved that it was inspired by Narnia, but I wish I picked up how it was related to Lord of the Flies! I mean, related if Jack wasn’t a totally unhinged kid. And also had a crush on Ralph.

Really adored this story, made me cry near the end.

Cheesy as it comes, I loved this cute story about magic birds and villainous hot men.
