What in the woman written by a male did I just read? This book is probably 30% shark and 70% affair, description of boobs, highly unlikely female sexual fantasy (rape and one of the female characters claimed that all high school girls want to be sex workers???), and the cop husband being a dick.

I just got bored. There seemed to be insta - love with no real reason for them to love each other. I also hate when one character is lying to another for the majority of the book.

This is honestly more about fertility issues and childhood trauma than any type of ghost story. This is a prime example of a book blurb/story description that wholly misguides readers. Not horror - just a lot of mental illness with a disgusting twist.

I guessed the ending early on, but I was still very entertained.
Absolutely no one in this story is likable - it made for a great ending.

Written in true Lemony Snicket fashion. I’m still mad at him for ASOUE, tho.
