A fun & quirky read. If you liked O Brother Where Art Thou, you'll really like this book.

For some reason, I just didn't connect deeply with this book. I attribute it mostly to a mild dislike of the characters, as I did appreciate the historical aspect of the story.

A perfect summer read...not highly literary, but the perfect escape.

Good writing, but I didn't connect very deeply with the story. Even so, I'm glad I read it.

I just loved this book. It's the story of a young British girl and her quirky family. I truly enjoyed her as a character, particularly her humor and innocence.

This is just not my style of book, which is the only reason for the 3-star rating. If you're interested in psychology and mysteries, you will probably really enjoy this book. Loved the setting in old New York City.

Only read this book if you are interested in the antics of a totally sleazy young woman who has absolutely no respect for other people, especially men. Sorry, but this book was totally in bad taste.

Definitely not literature...pretty much "chick lit". I've pretty much grown out of this kind of writing, but it was okay on a relaxing Thanksgiving vacation.

Poorly written, political narcissism, and nothing much more than a tedious rundown of every single person E.E. wants to thank for their political help. I was disappointed there wasn't more about the death of her son and her battle with cancer...this could have been a much better book.
