A bit of a slow start, but wow. Absolutely incredible. RF Kuang is one of one.

Books 1 and 2 are all smut and minimal plot. Book 3 tries to pack in so much plot in such little time that it gets kind of boring. Also can’t get over the villain getting killed in 5 lines 😭 Overall, this is a quintessential Katee Robert book—super fun, smutty, and a quick read.

Predicted quite a few things towards the beginning, but I should have known Lucy was going to bring in her signature twists and turns in the last quarter.

Was halfway through this and had no idea what it was about 😭 Just not my type of book.

I can see why people would like this. Very much a cozy book—just not really to my taste. Didn’t have much of a plot. I’m sure there were some lessons in there that the reader was meant to benefit from, but it fell pretty flat for me.

Super engaging storyline. Loveable morally grey characters. Beyonce could have written “Who Run the World (Girls)” about the women in this book.
