Magical realism and books that feel like a fever dream are never going to be for me. I'm glad I can say I finally got around to reading this but I can't say I particularly enjoyed the experience.

Reading this after the 2024 election was interesting.

How is a books that’s only 145 pages somehow too long? This book has been on my radar for literally… 20+ years so it’s a bummer that I didn’t like it.
