Nothing super memorable, but very cute and lighthearted. I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump and this is definitely helping me get out of it. I didn’t connect with the love interest that much, but maybe that’s just a me-thing. I wish we would have seen more of Kendall’s friends, I loved Nina and Harper!! I would definitely suggest reading it if you just want something light and cute. Warning: it IS very smutty, so if you aren’t into that stuff I would either skip those parts or not read it.🩷

This book is one of, if not the best, book I have ever read. This series has been my comfort series for years which I have read over and over. I had no idea until a few days ago that there was a fourth and final one. I bawled my eyes out during the last 50 pages and I am still crying as a write this review. This series, Mr. Terupt, The Gang, and all the projects they took on have changed my life forever. Thank you, Rob Buyea. Thank you from the bottom of my heart❤️

I read this book for the first time last year and fell in love with it! It’s my current favorite, I just adore everything about it! I finally have the rest of the series and I cannot wait to read it all! There’s this one quote I think about all the time
“Those in brightly lit places cannot see into the dark.”
This about that. It changed my perspective on a lot of things.

It was kind of disappointing, not going to lie. But a good ending that wrapped it all together. Not bad, just not quite what I was expecting. Worth reading.

Ok so I had originally rated this 4.75 stars but after two days of reflection I realized it was just a 4 star read. Still good! I just should have taken some time to digest the story instead of immediately writing my review. Though I do still stand by what I originally said, which is below :)

HOLY CRAP. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW. THOSE LAST TWO CHAPTERS THREW ME INTO A WHIRLWIND. GAHHHHH

4.5

I loved the ending soooo much that I almost gave it 5 stars but then I remembered the things at the beginning that had bugged me and realized that realistically it’s a 4.5. Still super good!!! I’m just very picky with my 5 stars and this didn’t meet the criteria.

I know a lot of people love this book and have so much good to say about it, but I’m going to give you the bad. (I don’t think these are spoilers at all, but if you think even the smallest things can spoil then I’d stop reading here🙂)

First, I actually cannot count how many times they talked about how “petit” and “tiny” and “frail” Violet is. Like, we get it, move on.

Second, Xaden’s nickname Violence just never really did it for me. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like it.

Also how come they didn't even consider a saddle until she had fallen off of her dragon DOZENS of times!!! Like, 5 or 6 DOZEN times. That bugged me.

Finally, I didn’t love the smut. The descriptions just felt gross to me. The rest of the romance was great!! Just not the sex scenes. Oh and
in the last chapter when Violet finally woke up and we’re in Xaden’s POV I HATED SO MUCH that he was already thinking about ripping her clothes off and pleasuring her. Like, SHE ALMOST DIED. SHE COULD STILL DIE. And your first thought is “man, she’s sexy. I should go down on her.” Yeah, no thanks.

Haha this was a much longer review than I usually give, so forgive me. And I know it seems like I was complaining a lot, but it was actually really good!!! I cannot WAIT to read the next ones!

I liked this. I thought it was cute and it was a super fast read. I loved the themes in it. They did good with it and the representation.
I was not expecting Leo to also be trans!! I thought that was a nice touch. And also that Leo and Kate didn’t end up together. I feel like a lot of books assume that a boy and a girl that are good friends must fall in love, but we should also learn to value platonic love.
