The Collected Stories of Arthur C. Clarke by Arthur C. Clarke

A real pleasure to read through 61 years of short stories from one of the Kings of Sci-Fi. Though the stories mostly came from 1934-61 and the book was missing pages 327-374 (not ripped out or anything like that, just not there from press), even so it was still an amazing read, and I highly recommend it (especially if you write, or are thinking about writing, sci-fi).

Fantastic book, should be required reading in secondary schools, dealing as it does with what could happen if the extreme patriarchal religious right-wingers had their way. As completely relevant today as it was in 1993.

I'm relatively new to McEwan, first read Solar, and now Enduring Love, and happily many more to go. What I most like about his writing is the wonderful flowing prose, and in this case his in-depth exploration of the fascinating de Clerambault's syndrome/Erotomania.
