Had a good time. Nothing too shocking, but an interesting concept nonetheless!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
I really didn’t give this much of a chance, but it’s not the book’s fault. I have no idea why I picked this up at the used book story because I want to die every time I read poetry. I guess I’m always just hopeful that I will find poetry that speaks to me, but I think I should just give up at this point.

Fantastic! Exactly what I wanted/needed from a historical romance. The female friendship is amazing and the romance was enjoyable!

I spent SO long trying to read this book. Not because it wasn’t good, but because every single time I put it down, I didn’t want to pick it up. When I was reading it, I would have a good time and want to know what happened. But my final straw happened today when I began reading and was just frustrated with the fact that I’m still trying to finish it. I’m trying to be better about just DNFing when I feel this way instead of torturing myself through finishing, so here we are.

War-time settings are not normally my favorite. I thought the spy, mystery, and female aspect of this one could push me through, but I just didn’t care to pick it up every time I stopped listening. Doesn’t help that I’m moving and looking to get rid of books along the way.

Fantastic. Best classic I’ve ever read. It felt incredibly accessible while still of the complex and reflective nature of a true classic.

I absolutely know how helpful this book may be to some people, it’s just not really my thing as an empath. Instead of hearing others’ stories and feeling better about my situation, it mostly just makes me sad. What I will say is that hearing multiple people express their gratitude to someone who sat them down and told them they needed help was very moving for me, so I’m very thankful for that part of the book.
