Loved the last couple chapters! However most of the book sat at 3~3.5 stars because I was extremely bored. At times I forced myself to plod on. I hope this didn't put me in a reading slump...

Mediocre writing, bad story, awful characters, and based on other reviews I just saw, the story doesn't end in this book.
I could've sucked it up, finished & slapped on a 1 or 2 star, but fellow readers saying the story just stops and doesn't finish is a hard pass for me when I'm already struggling with said book.

It's such a slog. The awful bestie scenes with their trying-too-hard-to-be-funny banter was not it... I skimmed/skipped most of it for what I read. And the romance subplot is a giant 🚩🚩🚩 for me.
