The Grim Grotto by Lemony Snicket
1.0
Read the entire series... started off ok and was nice and easy to read.
However, the further into the story you read the worse it gets.
Instead of an interesting, clever plot, the writer just goes off the wall and it all seems stupid.
(And not Alice in Wonderland type of stupid either!)
Finished the series and felt cheated out of a few weeks of my life :)

The Horror of High Ridge by Julius Goodman

This is probably the first full length Choose Your Own Adventure book I read on my own as a kid. Was good fun and loved the setting. Was really into Ghost at the time and this ticked all the boxes and allowed me to choose the path to take.
Who Killed Harlowe Thrombey? by Edward Packard

Remember this belonged to my Brother and was another fun to read Choose Your Own Adventure title. Love the setting and the chance to find out 'Who done it'?
Outlaws of Sherwood Forest by Ellen Kushner

Another standout Choose Your Own Adventure books we had as a kid. Loved Robin Hood so this ticked a lot of boxes too.

Again I think this was one of my brothers books. But remembered it to be a good read and loved the cover art!

The Magic Path by Julius Goodman

Having loved all the Choose Your Own Adventure books, this was a nice addition to the series. Was aimed at younger readers and was shorter than the main series of books. Remember taking this book into school and the teacher reading it to the class and everyone voting on which page to turn too. Was good fun!
Shadow The Sheepdog by Enid Blyton

Remember being read this one at school. then I liked it so much that I went and bought it from a 2nd hand book shop. Was probably the first Blyton book I ever read.
