Even Lena will admit she wasn’t always sure about JP, but by the time I opened this book I was ready for his redemption. All those little flickers of him that you thought, maybe he’s more like his brother than we know, it came to fruition here. I was so happy to see him find love and not be the little lost boy he’d been hiding behind anger and distain. Teddy and Hazel were just such happy additions. Plus, as always, loved seeing more of the Kings and Sullivans!

This was a quick read and I loved it. While she has had a crush before he really even notices her it still sort of reads like a he falls first story. Chase is so willing to change it up and isn’t stuck in his “hockey god” ways and persona which I thought was great. Cammie is awesome and just, way to rock the smut fan fic girl! I also love that while it’s at the same timeline as the Terror books it’s sort of feels like the next gen series? It’s fun to see those characters peripherally and see ones from that series that you don’t see a ton of. These two were perfectly weird and smutty and sweet.
I both eyeball and ear read this one and would recommend either method! The audio is duel narration which is new to me, but quite awesome.
ps. I love Helena and if you haven’t read the Terror books you’ll want to after you read this. And you should.

In my new (lol to it being my second book at this) plan to only offer quarter decimal ratings I’m going ahead and giving this a solid five. It gripped. I talked out load to it. Gave me all the different feels.

I’m not sure what possessed me to start with book 3, might’ve been the cover. It is absolutely standalone nbd but you see the other love stories and I want to have seen them all along. I’m have to go back. Ryland is really quite great and his roll on Mac’s life, watching it grow as well as he grows with it, was quite beautiful honestly. Gabby fit right in and was clearly a perfect match from the start. The sisters are amazing (and again, I’ll need to go back and read them). Also that epilogue was different and just so good.
