I love roasting men as much as the next gal, but I did not laugh once....nothing was funny.

Okay, The Stillwater Girls by Minka Kent was such a ride! I could not put this book down. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The whole premise – two sisters who grew up in isolation, only to be faced with the outside world they know nothing about – was fascinating. I found myself rooting for these girls the whole time. The suspense is next-level. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, bam – a twist! Kent does such a great job keeping you on edge, never fully letting you catch your breath. The pacing was perfect too, and I loved how each chapter kept revealing more about the girls’ pasts without giving everything away at once. But what really made this book stand out for me was the emotional side. It wasn’t just about the mystery or the thrills – there was this deep, emotional undercurrent about family, survival, and trying to find yourself after being in a crazy, isolating situation. I found myself feeling for the characters in such a real way, and the bond between the sisters? So cute and real.
