If it's one thing RuNyx knows how to do, it's write a compelling story. This was such a captivating and thrilling read. High Drama, sizzling tension between the FMC and MMC, twists, car chases, motorbikes, Family secrets, mafia vibes. Just perfection. You'll want to read the second book immediately.

OBSESSED!!! I literally inhaled this book 😭.
She reads tarot and dislikes underwear. He plays piano and has no qualms about f'kin you on the side of the road in the middle of a thunderstorm. There's a spooky castle and some unexplained unalivings. It's giving Wednesday Addams x Winx club x Phantom of the opera with a healthy dose of hot for teacher.
"You're the mountain I build my castle on, brick by brick. You stand, I soar. You crack, I crumble"

Great second installment for this series! The plot is amazing, love the characters, and the pacing was good. There was still some obvious telling and foreshadowing, but not as much as the first book. There were even some twists I didn't see coming! I will say though that the FMC may bring out some strong emotions for you. I felt actual rage at some of her decisions and found her immensely annoying at some parts. However, I also found her super relatable and can't say that I fully disliked her. It's quite the conundrum. Either way, this was an enjoyable read and I would recommend. Luther is everything 😍

This one dealt with more dark and triggering content than the previous books. A nice, enjoyable story although not your typical love story. Happy ending overall but still a lot of sadness In this one.

This was really good! More focused on fantasy than romance so it's not a spicy one - although the romance is still good with a healthy amount of tension and steam. Strong FMC but reckless. This story really sees her grow and struggle with trying to find her path in life. Interesting world and political dynamics. Morally grey everywhere. Solid plot, however, I did find it a bit predictable. There's a lot of repetition and the foreshadowing is more direct than I think was intended, making it feel a bit like telling and overexplanation. Overall though, a great read!

Think hunger games, but all the contestants have bad ass witch powers. The FMC has a pet crow, and the MMC is trying to resist the fact that he's a simp. Dark themes so there's daddy and family issues, betrayal, some unaliving and some carnage.
The concept of this book was so promising, and the plot was interesting. However, I found that this read fell a little short in execution, character development, and dialogue. The transition from enemies to lovers was quite abrupt, and the ending felt rushed. A little info dumpy in the beginning chapters. The sentence structure was weird at times, which led to a bit of a clunky read, and the pace was a little inconsistent. Overall, though, it's an okay book with an interesting storyline and magic system. I think there is potential for this to be a really good series, and with the world-building/intro out of the way, I think the second book may read more smoothly.
P.S: While reading this book, I found out that there is another version as well. The version I read and what this review is based on is 317 pages (slightly longer than the other one that has 280 some pages).
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked Eloise's story! It dealt with darker themes than the previous 4, which gave this book a bit more depth I feel. Their love story wasn't a whirlwind or traditional but more of a suble, slow buildup of a beautiful bond. Such a good read.
