The Quiet Tenant by Clémence Michallon

mysterious slow-paced

This was a thriller without the thrills. The Quiet Tenant started off great, I couldn’t put it down, but then as the story went on it got really boring. The pacing was just so slow for me.

I felt like every character in this book had their own POV chapter. There’s so many POVs, and it switches from first to second POV. Normally I don’t mind second person point of views but it got old super quick.

If the book was shorter and only had a couple of character POVs I probably would’ve liked this a lot better.

I skipped ahead in the Renton series because I wanted to read a Begbie story. It was gory and absolutely brilliant.
