The writing in this book is rather lackluster and the main character started to grate on me as I got farther into the book. However, the mystery was fun to try to solve and the passion and love of all the various foods mentioned made for an easily digestible read.

I picked this up on a whim, but this story was funny yet thoughtful... and the audiobook narrator was absolutely fantastic.

It was really a highlight for me to be listening to this on headphones in the grocery store aisle as this wonderful narrator *really* sold the performance of our protagonist getting railed by a grindr hookup, only for me to be stopped by a sweet old lady asking if I knew where the mac and cheese was. What a way to kick off my 2025. Let's hope we only go up from here.
