Honestly kinda disappointing. So many plot holes and plot points that were never resolved that are quite annoying. The ending also only gave closure to two characters (you can prob guess who) while leaving everyone else hanging like not even a sentence of closure

New fav
Such a fun time and was so cool to see lgbt romance (sapphic and mlm) in a medieval setting while still being extremely relatable

I’d definitely recommend this book to people BUT it takes a bit to get used to the world and everything that comes with it, and I would also recommend trying to read this in chunks so reading for a while at a time to keep track of what’s going on and to get immersed into the story

Sapphic witch fantasy, enemies to lovers AND thought it was a stand-alone but pleased to know it’s a series

Disappointing. This series started off SO strong. Book 1 and 2 were so incredible. Book 3 was the beginning of the end. Majority of that book was eh until the end but that truly made up for it.
This book though? Bad. All of Elias’ chapters were so boring - there was no need to have him ‘without memories’ but constantly fighting them for 2 WHOLE BOOKS.
All of Laia’s was more of the same shit diff chapter - not accepting Elias is gone, being obsessed with the nightbringer ugh boring and repetitive
Helene was the only saving grace - battles, SLOW BURN ROMANCE THAT ACTUALLY WORKED CAUSE SHE WAS WITH THE BLOKE FOR MORE THAN ONE MOMENT AT A TIME unlike someone else … as well as actual political intrigue

Honestly it’s the last third that absolutely blew me away. For a lot of the book, it was kinda suffering from the usual sequel issue of setting up stuff for the next book (which it did) BUT the things that happened and were revealed in the last third - omg. Literally had to stop and process
