Had to take a mini break before I could finish this as my heart was breaking and I don't know how many tears I had left in me!

Loved this book even with how close it hit home, especially with my Grandad having alzheimers and also my mental health which was so similar to Jax.

It's sweet, heartbreaking, full of hope, but also sad knowing the ending isn't as what you hope.

My favourite book because it was so much more than sex, it had plot and it showed the sacrifices you're willing to make for your loved one, even if it ends up hurting you but for their happiness.

Jax and Elena- you have my heart. ❤️

I love the epilogue, extra epilogue and the extended bonus epilogue. It just tied everything altogether for me!

This series just keeps getting better!

Okay this may have just become my fave romance book of 2024!

Who would of thought the one night stand player boy Noah is in fact a soppy, falls first, and big on showing who he loves!

I'm so jealous of Maya- she is one lucky woman. I love how she didn't change a single thing about Noah, she accepts him no matter what. I equally love that Noah wanted to be a better man for himself and for Maya.

The epilogue and bonus epilogue was adorable and I had happy tears.

The F1 part of the story was amazing and I love learning about the sport. I also enjoyed that the racing was just as important as the romance.

The abuse topic was handled well and I like how it all came full circle.

I love Maya's relationship with her brother Santiago, and enjoyed his side character (though thank God he's moved on from his crashing tendencies!) As well as Sophie, Liam, Jax and others.

I have now bought every other book in the series as I'm officially mega invested in the rest of the lads (I can't wait for Liam and Sophie's story as well as Santi!)

Epic book and I lost count how many giggles, snort laughs and Cheshire cat smiles because of the sheer adorableness.

This was always going to be a hard read for me as I've been in a similar situation as Sloan. I had all the feels.

I do not nor ever will condone Asa's behavior and evilness. However, his upbringing certainly did a huge number to him and it does make you question, if it was different and full of love, would he of been like he is currently? Nevertheless, everyone has a choice in life and he chose to be just like his parents, even worse as he showed not an ounce of remorse.

I am going to admit I'd of liked to of seen Sloane learning to be on her own and not relying on a man.
Don't get me wrong her and Carter/Luke are end game but for me I think the ending should of seen Sloane becoming her own person, doing the things she loves, having therapy and then when she's at the best place possible have that relationship with Luke.

In regards to the baby- that annoyed me, I could never not want to know who the father is and honestly I think the pair will always wonder and cause some issues in their relationship. Also sloan knowing what asa did, and the last thing asa did to her, I don't think I could cope with not knowing and I would worry if the child completely resembled the person who made your life hell. That's just my opinion though

CoHo certainly knows how to write, how to hook you in until the end. I certainly like her hard hitting topics though this is certainly her darkest. I think for a romance thriller/suspense Verity will always be my favourite. I do though appreciate what CoHo did I'm regards to the abuse and drugs and from someone whose had a similar past, she did it sensitively but also showing how ugly it is to get out of such a shit position.

I have a secret love for forbidden romances between step siblings and foster siblings (I blame the Tearsmith!) This didn't disappoint.

I really like the characters and how they were developed. I also liked how mental health was represented with Malakai and his psychopathic tendencies and being selective mute.
Olivia well just wow she may look like a princess and be treated like some barbie doll to be controlled, but she is one dark female!

The taboo romance, the sexual fantasies and smut was done so well and I like that even though for some it may be degrading etc that the author made everything always consensual and the characters always had a voice throughout.

The only reason I didn't do 5 stars is the foster parents...
I don't know what's worse the dad hating malakai because of his condition and beating him. Or the mother who arranged Olivia to be married at 18, and to have her pay the blokes to have her daughters virginity taken. Don't even get me started on the ending either.
At least the foster dad actually had his comeuppance and admitted his mistakes and learned from them and changed...
The mother, she needs to be gone.

I can't wait for book 2 to come especially with that interesting last 5 words.

I love a forbidden romance and the plot of this being a priest and all got me intrigued....
But this was just not it at all. Honestly I was just here for the smutty spice which is why there is 2 stars and not a dnf.
I did not like Poppy one bit and constantly standing up for her ex even though she complained at how awful he was etc. She knew what she was doing the minute she set into the church and to me I feel like she saw Father Bell and knew she needed to catch the fly into her Web.

And Father Bell (Tyler) like mate you spent 3 years as a priest loving every second and also honouring your sisters memory and you blow it all away by a voice and then hearing her sexual fantasies. Just no.

I know this is just a fictional book but it was so far fetched, unreal and just stupid. It needed better character building, a plot and just more sense.

Won't be continuing with the series.
