There was a lot of bumping of hoop skirts going on.
It was a quick read and I loved the idea of it, I just couldn’t really get convinced that it was actually set in the 1850’s.

I really thought it was just a teenager romanticizing an unhealthy/mildly predatory situationship until the last 20 pages.

Meh. I didn’t love the characters, character development, or plot. But I did really like Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail!

This book had me kicking my feet and giggling every three pages. I could not put it down. Thank you to Ali Hazelwood for putting in overtime at the slay factory so I could make this book my entire personality for the past 26 hours.
