Maximum cosiness activated! This completes my holiday read, it's warm and funny with so much heart. The small town setting was authentic and fun, like a Harvest Moon/ Stardew Valley festival vibes. We got to experience multiple holidays with them as their relationship evolved and the town felt alive.
The pack formation is always my favourite part to read, not just the tight knottings which of course this also has. The men courted the heroine with gifts and lovely gestures and aided her in realising her full self worth. The characters came across as fully fledged individuals with deep, rich backgrounds. I also love love love there's an existing couple entering the formation together like a dynamic duo but the newcomers were included so organically into the fold, especially for the group funtivities.
Thanks to Eliana Lee for the review copy and this is my honest review. It was such a joy to read and I devoured it so fast. Out tomorrow 13 December, make sure you get that bonus epilogue AND nsfw art cause you're gonna want to see Logan in all his glory. Yum.

Big dose of unhinged and mafia. I loved the unhinged, didn't care so much for the mafia. Plus daddy and obsessed MCs.

Our esteemed lady Hoyt, did the astonishing thing of bringing in female dominance to a traditionally published Historical Romance and y'all should be so proud. Just a heroine in a typical dominant hero's field exhibiting female excellence.
The heroine is also a virgin who grew up away from society, she learnt hands on and through books— truly a well read woman of bookish experience. When we were first introduced to the hero in Greycourt #2, I knew he was going to be a top tier tortured and repressed character. This proud man who growls at vegetables like they offend him, is torn completely inside by his yearnings.
I loved their interactions, with instant intrigue and attraction, yet layered with plenty of angst and complicated family history. Although at first, they seemed an unlikely pair—the heroine being sheltered and naive about London society—this actually made her the ideal match for him and allowed her to readily embrace his "peculiarities".
You don't need to read the first 2 Greycourt to read this but it helps since the back history is complex and there's an on going over arching story line. This book left me wanting more though, it felt incomplete and needed an additional scene to cap off their relationship but overall, what a comeback from Hoyt.
Thanks to Forever and Netgalley for the review copy and this is my honest review. No Ordinary Duchess will be out on 10 December.

Lordy lord help me, I loved this haha. Who knew a dirty farmer named Dusty could inspire such filth! This was funny, cringe and smut filled. It's got a lot going on, double virgins, daddy, breeding, and show him how it's done. Bravo Jessa Kane.

I think this might be Chloe Maine's funniest book yet, I legit laughed out loud a couple of times. Also the oldest heroine I've read by her yet (ripe old age of 28 /s) so she's mature but still had this innocence about her that was so endearing.
A timeless tale: the hero was drawn to a woman who turned out to be a student in his class. So he did the honourable thing and channeled all his lust into jerking it to the camera for strangers online. Bless his heart. Of course the heroine was his number 1 fan. I don't hate this cliche. It's a fun sweet smutty Christmas novella. Did some of the story elements not make sense? Sure but the vibes were right. Look, is the premise out there? Yes. Hero jerks it on the site OnlySanta but dresses as a cowboy because his persona is that he's the rodeo champ of the North Pole ??? Don't question it, embrace it.

5 stars reread via audiobook. The audiobook with Susan Ericksen narration is most excellent, she embodied the heroine in her sternness most vividly.

This was thoroughly enjoyable, what an action packed book and so many inspired scenes, I did not expect it. It's my first Sarah MacLean and definitely won't be the last.
