I can't read YA and be mad at them for behaving as expected can I? It took me a while to get into the story because I found the main characters insufferable but I did love their crushes and slow developing romance and friendship. I enjoyed the medieval setting and realism but ultimately it left me unsatisfied.

Definitely a sweeter side of Jessa Kane in terms of story, with candle light dinners and getting eaten for dessert. I love the proactive heroine going after what she wants and being the driver in this relationship.

I like the idea and the premise, the world is interesting and the group banding together going on an adventure while getting to know each other. But it was like a melting pot of mixed ideas that didn't work for me.

I did appreciate the representation and the heroine's duality of identities and her struggles. It did have many sweet moments

Thanks to Hodder & Stoughton and Netgalley for the review copy.

Does what it says on the tin but there's an instant climax love potion and pine needles got some action too.

Ayyy taboo father and son tag team with the step daughter? Nice, especially when they're all snowed in on one big bed.

Came for the group bang, but stayed for the healing journey of a traumatic woman going through therapy and finding respectful love and self worth.

Never thought I'd rate a reindeer rutting role play story 5 stars but here we are.

This was an excellent follow up to the first, building upon the previous ideas plus fun journey hijinks that showcased their endearing friendship.

I want to applaud how great the title is, it worked on so many levels. This novella had plenty of degradation and humiliation all because the hero wanted the heroine too much. He's her professor and they played out the plot of an adult film "I'll do anything for a good grade, professor *wink *wink*"

Halloween might be over but banging stepbro and step dads are always in season. I need more of that Salem story.
