The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition, Vol. 3: Majora's Mask / A Link to the Past by Akira Himekawa
4.0
I enjoyed this one more than the first. It felt more cohesive, and I didn’t find myself missing the dungeon-delving and puzzle-solving as much this time around. The story flowed well, and the characters felt more engaging.
Like before, some elements from the games are trimmed down or simplified, but it works better here. It still won’t replace the experience of playing the games, but as a manga adaptation, it does a solid job of capturing the adventure and emotion of the stories.

Om tyranni : 20 ting vi kan lære av det 20. århundre by Timothy Snyder

This book does a great job at drawing paralells between the history of fascism to modern day incindents that are all too real.
Not only that, but the book presents the ever-present threat of fascism in a way that is easy to grasp, making this knowledge (and vigilance) available to anyone and everyone!
I highly recommend anyone to read this. I know I will re-read it again and again!

Old Christmas by Washington Irving, Randolph Caldecott
5.0
This book is a delightful and atmospheric celebration of Yuletide traditions! I really felt immersed in a bygone era where the holiday was marked by community, hospitality, and timeless rituals. The descriptions of roaring fires, sumptuous feasts, and heartfelt caroling evoke a cozy, festive feeling that is perfect for any winter’s evening.
I thoroughly enjoyed this enchanting portrayal of Christmas!

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
5.0
Truly a masterful tale of redemption and self-discovery, filled with Dickens' wit and rich prose. This story captures the essence of Christmas as a time for reflection, kindness, and connection. Dickens brings Victorian London to life with vivid descriptions, making the atmosphere feel both chilling and magical.
This short but impactful story has rightly become a cherished classic, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone, regardless of the season!

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
5.0
An absolutely delightful story! I enjoyed it from beginning to (bag)end!
Truly a classic, and I feel regretful for having waited so long to read it, but I am very happy I finally did!
Tolkien's whimsical way of telling stories and describing the world and its characters is truly remarkable, and very easy to immerse yourself into.
Highly recommended, to anyone of reading age!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time -Legendary Edition- by Akira Himekawa

I enjoyed it, but I felt like a bunch of stuff was missing. Like some of the mystery of the dungeons, the puzzle-solving and general dungeon-delving.
But I understand that this was a product of its time, and its not like puzzle-solving and dungeon-delvng would be as interesting to read about as it was to do it in the original video game.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

This was a breath of fresh air, and an excellent palate-cleanser.
I was surprised to see how well it holds up today, particularly with the whole "how adults are" thing.
The way the story portrays adults as having lost their sense of wonder, their curiosity and such really holds true today as well.
An engaging tale for young and old alike!

Again, William King continues to impress with his writing style, and not in the least his way of performing exposition in a believable and natural way.
I have particularly enjoyed the way this book delivered world-building and lore that explains just enough of vampires and other such creatures of the night.

I ate this book up. It is rare that I read a book this swiftly and in so few sittings.
The dystopian anti-intellectual, anti-individual future portrayed in the book is frightening, both in concept and in how close to a similar society we could already be.
Absolutely recommended.
I regret not reading it earlier!

This book kept me enthralled from
beginning to end!
The tense atmosphere over the
siege of Praag was truly something
else.
The scale of the stakes have never
been higher before in this series,
and I love how the intensity is
ramping up.
I see that the next book is
called Vampireslayer.
I look forward to reading that
grim bloody book!
