I've never read anything in the "eco-horror" genre before. This was especially disturbing for feeling so pertinent. It really did read like a fever dream! I'd recommend to anyone unless you're already especially anxious about the state of the environment.

This is a reread for me. Just as good the second time around as the first. Maybe even better, because Elisabeth's story feels much sadder now.

I wasn't expecting that format and for some reason assumed this was Sci fi so I was doubly surprised. I enjoyed it even if it lagged at times.

I think the cons outweigh the pros for me on this one. There were some brilliant takes for sure, but certain scenes really detracted from this book as a whole. The sex scene in the middle of the book was maybe too edgy for me and the part where she got menopause reviews was a bit random.
It could've all been salvaged if it weren't for the terrible ending. Arkanda,  the dance, the weird lego clicking by sam were all so boring. It lost all the momentum built by the beginningof the book.

Not sure what to think. I think I enjoyed it but not sure I got it the whole time.

Gotta give Colonel Brandon the side eye but other than that I loved this.
