I love Aslan more than I love any other character in any other book. Love love love love love. I can't believe how much power words can have - how much they can make me love a fictional character!

I totally had no idea that the books were allegorical until I was a teenager and had already read them all several times. The allegory still doesn't matter much to me...I just love the books.

This is a light, humorous ethnography of the French, from an American/Canadian point of view. Reading this before I studied abroad in France helped me SO MUCH! I'm fairly certain that I made a lot fewer cultural blunders than I would have without reading this book. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to France.
