The writing of this novel is lovely, the use of a sprite as a narrator and move alonger was perfect to keep the book along. Specifcally utilising the Bordem of the narrator to remove the boring plesentaries that often plague more historical books.

The romance aspect was also beautifully written; wherein the palpable chemistry between the two characters were fiery but not unnecessarily crude. Especially as an audiobook listener the dirty talk wasn’t cringy and vulgar but tantalising and engaging.

My only issue was how lady Georgina’s emotional withholding from maylis felt empty. Especially after the reveal that her house was cursed and therefore could never truly be with her, it fell very flat for myself. And therefore the last few chapters felt drawn out.

What I would really really LOVE is a book about the narrator, hearing about their court life and modern life and why their thrown out would be amazing

Very informative book about the first few witch trials in America, and brings amazing detailed accounts of the relationships between the townsfolk and the accused alive. Highly recommend. I loved the audiobook version as the actor brought the charters to life ad differientwte them with ease. The only thing I would want is a family tree Esque web to remind you of who each person was and their postion in the town and maybe accusations made to keep everything under control.

A very raw and true account of Britney Spears life. It’s been amazing to hear her story in her own words after the harrowing conservatiship she faced for nigh on two decades.

Your standard romance book, with very cheesy undertones and daily predictive. However, this book is very light hearted and fun, which is great if you want a easy romance book!

what I really enjoyed is the last ten pages. Where we find the handmaids tale is considered through an academic lens. Doubts of authenticity and desire to pinpoint  no where offred came from was very interesting!

I found the stories too short and boring. Although they were slight adaptations of grimms myths and legends I found it disengaging and no clear moral of the story. However I did like how Pullman gave the myth and legend fairy tale type and brief explanation at the end of each story

This book came highly recommended but was very esoteric. I found that some sections we’re ment for direct quotes to make you ponder but other than that it was ok.
