Primo Malvaldi deludente che mi capita tra le mani. A differenza del solito il racconto risulta piuttosto piatto, senza traccia di suspense e assolutamente privo del consueto lato umoristico.

Indescrivibilmente noioso. Mollo a pagina 40.

It should have been called "The Fanboi Review": entire chapters dedicated to *GASP!* new icons, for the love of God…

Sometimes mediocre, and when it's good it's mostly sad and depressing. Furthermore, this combination of title and cover art is grossly misleading: I was expecting thriller or horror stories, while they are depressing meditations on life, sexuality, death, and the meaning of it all.

Much, much better than its prequel, Summer of Night. Simpler, leaner, and more linear in its narrative, more contemplative and introspective, it stands quite apart from its overly complicated, failed epic attempt of a preceding novel.
Summer of Night is a blunt instrument, a huge club, though intricately and ornately carved.
A Winter Haunting is a small and simple, cold and sharp knife.

Una noia mortale, per fortuna lunga appena un centinaio di pagine. Ai limiti del ridicolo.
