Too long, quite simply. It could have been a good, gory sci-fi novel had it been about one half of what it is.

Nessuno è mai divertente come il primo, e anzi alcuni avevano storie fin troppo ingarbugliate.
Qui qualche risata, storia costruita con attenzione, molto piacevole. Ma a me è parsa troppo poco verosimile.

Non so se sia adatta ad una trasposizione televisiva, ma l'impressione è proprio quella.
Rocco Schiavone deve aver fatto venire l'acquolina in bocca a tanti giallisti di Sellerio--e a Sellerio stessa...

Having read Astrosamantha's account of her 200 days in space, and the detailed operations on the Soyuz capsule and the ISS, events narrated here feel so unreal they can't even be considered "fiction", as one fundamental requisite of fiction is that it must be plausible, sci-fi even more so.
Being more a script than a novel it's definitely going to become a movie, of genre I call "popcorn" for good reason.
Still, I needed to pass a long day on a ship at sea, and in that it was successful...

It starts well, albeit confusingly very much in medias res, but I got suspicious when at more than three quarters of the way no ending was yet conceivably in sight.
Enter a providential and unexpected sandstorm, and there you have it: the book soon ends leaving a kind of bad aftertaste in you mouth, because it hasn't really ended. You know it, the author knows it...

I kind of knew the end was going to be something like this. Not bad, but I've read a lot of hobo or hobo-like literature in my youth, and I think I lost my taste for it...

It's very deep, very weird: at some point you can count 4 Tempests being played at the same time, one inside the other like in a Matryoshka doll.
If you love The Tempest you'll like this book, otherwise as a stand-alone novel it feels very disconnected, very crazy...

La mezza stella se l'è presa Mimì, che è un saputello pure un po' stronzo.
La sua parlata infantile pseudo-colto ma al contempo così sprovveduto non è (spero volutamente) credibile e questo, assieme alla telepatia ed all'ossessione per il costume di Spider Man (che baideuéi nell'85 si chiamava Uomo Ragno), lo rende "estraneo", un ragazzo con cui nonostante tutto è difficile - molto - immedesimarsi.
Per il resto è bellissimo, primo libro che abbia mai letto ambientato nella Napoli contemporanea, che non conosco, eppure Marone è riuscito a farla mia come Porta Romana.
La figura più bella è quella vera, di Giancarlo Siani, davvero un Eroe di questa povera Italia.

Molto bella la storia "circolare", anche se amando (e scrivendo) questo tipo di storie un po' me l'aspettavo…
Mi è anche piaciuta molto la scrittura, molto densa ma al tempo stesso leggera, credo grazie anche allo stile colloquiale (nel senso letterale del termine, sembra una racconto orale).
