The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
5.0
Words can't really say how good this book was, even if I can't really say what I just read. It's very Erin Morgenstern-esque to write a novel that makes no sense yet all the sense in the world.
*chefs kiss* It was just so good.

Roomies by Christina Lauren

I was really, really loving this for awhile, but then they both started getting really infuriating and I think their problems were resolved far too quickly. While I can acknowledge that Christina Lauren are great writers, I don't think their romance novels work for me the way I want them to. Like, I'll read them, but I don't think they'll ever be above three stars for me. I'm just not a romance novel person, I guess.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I really enjoyed this; I'll admit it. However, the ending was incredibly disappointing and I can't shake the feeling that I wanted something so much more from this book. I'll possibly (hopefully) write a full review, but if I don't, well, I guess this is it.

TW: self-harm (not with intent to feel pain, but VERY graphic), rape, sexual assault, violence, domestic abuse

To think I ever considered rating this less than 5 stars...
Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren

I had a few issues with this honestly, but it was really cute and sweet, and I'm in love with Josh Im. BUT it wasn't perfect. I'll add to this later...(I hope) but I probably won't write a full blog review.

Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian

There's a lot I could say about this book, but I'm not sure I have the words yet. There's a lot I could say about how this book made me feel, but I'm not sure I'll feel comfortable sharing those words yet.
I withdrew my entry in a giveaway for this not because I don't want a signed copy, but because I want someone else in the world to feel what these words made me feel.
And I think that's what the characters, especially Stephen, would want, too.
I don't think I'll full review this. I don't think I'll do it justice.
But seriously? I've never read a book that made me feel prouder about who I am inside, about who I've wanted to hide.
If you want another book set during the AIDs crisis with a similar concept, read [b:Tell the Wolves I'm Home|12875258|Tell the Wolves I'm Home|Carol Rifka Brunt|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1335450415l/12875258._SY75_.jpg|18028067] by Carol Rifka Brunt. It's wonderful as well.
Another thing I wish to say is that I sobbed through many pieces of this book. I let out a noise I've only seen described in writing.
I want everyone to read this book, to understand the pain queer people went through, and still go through.
I want books like this to not need to exist. But, alas, our world is not free from evil yet.
Thank you, Abdi Nazemian, for making me feel like I am love.
