I am in love with this book. The plot is truly interesting, the romance is fantastic, and the way abuse in the family is portrayed rings so true it was almost painful to read.
God I love two people learning they can be soft, that it's allowed, against their better judgement.
I cannot wait to see what the see what the sequels have in store, but I think this books has created a niche for itself in my heart and it'll never move from it.

Do I read paranormal romance for the plot? No. So does it matter that it needed some work? No.
What does matter is that I stopped being horny during the sex scene, because me and DN Bryn do not share certain kinks. (Dick biting was already enough and then it got worse, why Danny why) The rest was hot though.

Better than the first one, I really love this series. Again it needed to be a bit longer I feel, we needed to spend more time with the suspects, but it had a lot to enjoy.
I especially like Hugh's relationship with being a policeman and queerness, it's really interesting to read, both if you read it as him not realising yet he's queer or if you think that he does know he fancies men but realised it would clash with his job and decided to try and put it aside to be a policeman.
